This May, the "architectural rendezvous" between i-Talk and architect Yung Ho Chang took place in Stockholm, Sweden.
It is not his first trip to Sweden. This time, he comes solely to write the book <Architecture for Children> — which features 60 architectural cases. He wants to revisit the classic buildings he has seen before, explore some interesting new ones, and find evidence to answer a question.
Why Sweden? Because Yung Ho Chang aims to unravel a question that has puzzled himself and many others: What is architecture? In his view, the most straightforward answers lie in the everyday architecture of Northern Europe. Thus, i-Talk followed Yung Ho Chang to knocked the door of Villa Klockberga — a villa designed by the Swedish architect father-son duo Peter Celsing and Johan Celsing. The answer may start right behind this door.
This time, follow Yung Ho Chang’s footsteps in Sweden to touch the architectural truth hidden in every brick and every window.
